Onyx is a variety of agate composed of bands of chalcedony, quartz, and opal. In Greek, it means fingernail because of the white line curving like an edge of a nail. The planets associated with onyx are Mars and Saturn and the star sign Leo. It can be found in Italy, USA, Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, and Russia.

Care Instructions:

Do not wear jewelry in the shower or swimming. When exposed to water, the metal will tarnish faster. Take jewelry off when sleeping and working out. Renaissance Wax can be applied to slow the tarnishing and prevent skin from turning green. Store in a closed box or bag.

Please note that the type of wire used is very pliable and can bend out of shape if enough pressure is applied. Do not place your wire wrapped jewelry in a purse or pocket.
